Pricing a software business for sale
Launchedly lists five of my live apps for sale as whole businesses: code, brand, domain and handover. I had to put a price on each one.
The marketplace is Launchedly, and it has one kind of listing: a working SaaS for sale, end to end. If someone wants to buy a whole app instead of building one, they can.
The asking prices
| App | What it is | Asking price |
|---|---|---|
| Edgery | Trading journal with MetaTrader 4 and 5 sync | €24,000 |
| FloorVia | Floor plan to 3D walkthrough for estate agents | €18,000 |
| NexusShield | AML compliance software for real estate | €16,000 |
| ClawPipe | Pipeline platform for AI agents | €14,000 |
| Ziggy | WhatsApp AI receptionist | €9,500 |
| All five | The whole portfolio | €69,000 |
Bought one by one, the five come to €81,500. The bundle costs €12,500 less.
Why rebuild cost, not revenue
Marketplaces usually price a SaaS as a multiple of its monthly revenue. None of these listings states revenue, so I did not invent any. I priced each app at what it would cost a buyer to build the same product and get it live: the features, the integrations that already work, and the time saved. Each listing says "asking price, or best offer", so a buyer can argue the number down with reasons.
What transfers
- Source code, brand and a deployment handover for every app.
- The domain where the app has its own: edgery.app, floorvia.com and clawpipe.dev. NexusShield and Ziggy run on subdomains, so the buyer moves them to a domain of their own.
- Edgery is the only one with users, and their data moves only under a data processing agreement.
If you want to buy one
Each listing has a contact button. One message with the app you want and a line about you is enough to start.
